Probably the most important body component that we all have. Mitochondria are tiny "organelles" found in large numbers in most cells (500 - 10,000 estimated mitochondria in each cell depending on its size & function), in which the biochemical processes of respiration and energy production occur. It has a double membrane, the inner layer being folded inward to form layers (cristae).

Mitochondria are the possible common link in many (or most) cancers. Watch the compelling research science started by Nobel Laureate Dr Heinrich Warburg in the early 20th century and furthered by research successors such as Krebs, Pedersen and others as presented by Professor Thomas Seyfried

Dr Terry Wahls (Professor of Medicine) was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2000

Terry Wahls MS condition got progressively worse thru 2007 such that she was not far away from becoming bedridden. She discovered Functional Medicine and redesigned her diet to eat real foods to maximize the nutrients for her bodies mitochondria and brain cells. That action would gradually bring her back to health.
